Have you ever met someone and it felt as though they never told you the truth? Imagine, now, that very person is trying to sell you a product. Would you want to have a business relationship with that person? The answer is probably no. Your answer is no because they’ve lost your trust. For that very reason, truth is a very important factor in business relationships.
How important is trust in establishing long-term business relationships?
Trust and truth are vital to business relations. It is very important for both parties to trust each other, otherwise somebody is likely to cut off the relation. That is why you want to make sure that you aren’t deliberately telling a lie. The point of a business relation is to get mutually beneficial advantages. If you break the trust, the other company or customer will find an alternative business to work with. In other words, you will lose valuable business, money, and ratings. If you lose one customer due to distrust, that customer will tell their friends and family, who will do the same thing. Unless you don’t care about your business, you really want to avoid losing customers.
Making an impression.
When you are trying to establish a business relationship, you need to make that very best first-impression as you possibly can. Otherwise, you probably won’t make the customer want to work with you. You want to make sure that the customer gets the very best service possible. You want to make sure that they know that you will do almost anything to get their business. They also need to know that they are the one in power, because they have money. You want to make sure that they are aware that you know they are in power. . Also, you don’t want to come across as desperate for money. Basically, make them feel welcome and in a safe environment where they can trust you and feel important.
Trust me, this is important!
Trust is an important part of any relationship, whether it be business, family, or spouses. If trust is never established, then you will never have a successful relationship. If you are trying to spark a long-term business relationship, the first thing to make sure you both have is trust. Otherwise, the other person could be trying to do something that will hurt your business. In fact, I know a person that had an experience just like that. He works as a real estate agent. He was approached by a couple interested in buying a house. He put in a lot of work, and a lot of hours into researching and showing them several homes over a period of weeks. Once they found a home that they wanted to buy, they told their cousin (Who turned out to be the actual buyer) about it. The cousin then purchased the house with another agent… who took all the commission. In conclusion, trust is extremely important when trying to establish a long-term business relationship. Without trust, you end being hurt.. So, if you ever try to establish a relationship in the business world, or anywhere else, make sure that trust is up near the top on your list of requirements. Also, make the customer feel like they are in a safe environment and make them trust you. If the customer doesn’t trust you, you won’t make a sale.
